¡Hola! I am Camila and I am a Physics student at
Truman. My hometown is San Pedro Sula, Honduras and I am one of the over 400 international students at Truman. Truman students come from 50 countries, so
I have friends here from all over the world. I chose to study at Truman because I had a
close family friend come here and I knew I could find a home away from home. I have now found a community of my own by
living on campus, joining Tau Lambda Sigma, and working in the Center for International
Students. Not only do students travel to Truman to study,
like I did, they also travel with Truman through our study abroad programs. With more than 500 programs to choose from, every
student can find a program that meets their needs — whether it is living with a host
family in Mexico, learning health care hands-on in the Philippines, becoming fluent in Korean, or having a truly global experience with Semester at Sea. A Truman education sets up each student for
success in a globalized world. Everyone is welcome here!
