Today we’re broadcasting live from Bled4me.com I want to welcome you to the Fellowship Times Christian Church,
it’s an online church with no walls, it’s an interactive service, church anywhere,
anytime. Now today’s message is titled Under the law, but saved by grace. Now
let’s start by saying that the law is not burdensome God gave us his laws, his
statutes and commands, out of love. His laws are reflection on who he is. Iit
reflects how he would live if he was a man, how he would treat his neighbors, how he would treat the animals. They show how he would treat the foreigner, shows us
what he would eat, how he would resolve differences. When we follow his laws it
shows obedience to the Creator of everything. It shows how to love your God
with all your might, heart, spirit and soul. Now it says in the
book of first John chapter 3 verse 4 that sin is the transgression of the law.
The laws show us exactly what sin is. He wanted them to be in your mind and in
your heart. He wanted his laws posted on the gates of the city so that foreigners
would know that our God loves us. In doing his laws statutes and commands you have a life that’s respectable to God as one of his beloved children. Then God
become a man. God got to live as a man and his name is Jesus. He did not come to change the law but came to fulfill it. Now Jesus was born Jewish he knew God’s laws and never broke one of God’s laws, statutes or commands. In fact he was a
rabbi and he taught the Torah in the temple every Sabbath. The problem was not the law but those who enforced the laws. They were guilty of not enforcing the
law with mercy and love. They even added to the law to make it more difficult. He
told us not to be like the Pharisees. The Pharisees knew to law but did not live it.
They were hypocrites. By living within God’s laws and living a sinless life
Jesus become a sinless, spotless, perfect sacrifice. He bled for us and he died on
the cross. And through his victory on the cross He fulfilled the need for animal
sacrifices and offerings to forgive sin. Jesus is the way to the Father. He
provides the forgiveness grace and mercy when we break God’s laws.
Jesus says, repent and sin no more. So I feel that we are under God’s laws but
when we fall short and sin, Jesus is the only reason that I’m forgiven and saved.
Now at this point I’d like to end with a prayer. Our Father who is in Heaven,
hallowed be Thy Name, Thy kingdom come Thy will be done on earth as it is in
heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, forgive us of our trespasses as we
forgive others who have trespassed against us, lead us not to temptation,
deliver us from evil, keep us safe from the evil one, for Thine is the kingdom, the
power and the glory, forever and ever. Now Father we thank you for your laws,
your commands and your statutes. For they are forever Holy. We thank you Father for your son Jesus and his victory on the cross. We thank you for his love, His
mercy, His grace, forgiveness, all he is was and shall be were grateful for, and
Father thank you for him. We thank you for all these things in
Jesus’s name we pray. Amen I’d like to thank you for being with us
